After the boot dried, I attached the finished soles to the boot with super glue, making sure it looks nice and finished on the bottoms, scraping off extra glue as I go. Once I had a sole shape, I cut 2 similar but slightly bigger out of thick, heavy duty fabric, sewed the fabric together, turned it inside out for a nice finish, then placed the foam in the middle and glued the final seam shut, right sides together so you couldn’t even tell there was an opening. While it was hardening, I traced the bottom of the original shoe base on some thick foam. I super glued ribbon around the base to finish it better. I had him step on fabric for 20 minutes to get it to set with tin foil underneath to protect the floor. I then took epoxy and put it under all the flaps and over the thread. I pulled it over the shoe base, tucked the sides under the shoe and sewed it with a leather needle and thick thread. I then put it back on, this time turned inside out to the proper side. I sewed it together again for the adjustments. I then removed it while he was still wearing it to make sure it can slip on and off. I then put it on him still inside out to pin it closer to his leg. I sewed it together right sides together. I traced very loosely directly on the wrong side of the vinyl around Mituna’s leg with the shoe on to get an idea of how big the boots will be. I used a high top converse style shoe, cut everything off except the soles (well all except the rubber part of the shoe anyway). I first cut apart some old shoes to get a base for support to start sewing. I then dremel’d around them to make them look like they were poking out. The horns are screwed directly into the helmet, screws facing out into the horns. Be prepared to sand until your hands fall off. I then made the details on the helmet out of foam to get a base, and used spackling to smooth it out. I got a snap on visor, cut it shorter so it covers half the face, and then screwed it on the front. I then made holes on each side of the helmet near the opening for the face. I filled in the holes with spackling and sanded them. I dremel’d through the silver bumps to loosen them and removed them with a flat head screwdriver.
